Since beginning our small group reading time, I have noticed that many kids need to practice their oral reading fluency. When your child reads at home as part of nightly homework, please sit with him/her and listen & monitor their reading and have them read aloud. We only have a certain amount of time in class to practice this skill, so it will be most beneficial for students to practice at home also. Have a great week!
